Pet Policy
This policy sets out the rules for keeping pets whilst staying in an AQORA apartment. It aims to ensure pets are kept responsibly and that all guests, visitors, and staff can enjoy a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Pet fee
A one-off charge of £250+VAT applies per pet, per stay. AQORA reserves the right to charge additional fees to cover costs incurred in the remediation of any pet related damages.
Pet definition
A pet is defined as a domesticated animal kept for companionship, including dogs and cats. Other animals may be considered on a case-by-case basis with prior written approval from AQORA.
Approval
Guests must obtain written approval from AQORA before bringing pets onsite. AQORA may request details of the pet, including type, breed, size, and weight.
AQORA reserves the right to refuse approval where a pet is deemed unsuitable for apartment living or may present a risk to guests, visitors, staff, property, or other animals.
Permitted pets
- No more than two pets are permitted per apartment.
- Pets must be suitable for apartment living.
- Dangerous, illegal, or exotic animals are not permitted.
Pet owner responsibilities
Pet owners must:
- Always keep pets under control.
- Ensure pets are up to date with vaccinations and free from infectious diseases.
- Ensure pets do not cause noise, nuisance, or disturbance to others.
- Maintain their apartment in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Avoid leaving pets unattended in apartments for extended periods.
- Comply with all applicable animal welfare laws.
Common areas
- Pets must be kept on a lead or in a carrier when in common areas.
- Pets must not be allowed to roam freely.
- Owners must immediately clean up and dispose of any pet waste. Any animal waste should be double bagged and placed in general waste bins here:
- West Street Mews = bin store off main courtyard.
- Rhode Lane Apartments = red Biffa bin by main gates.
Damage and liability
Pet owners are responsible for any damage or additional cleaning costs caused by their pets and may be charged for repairs or remedial works.
AQORA accepts no responsibility for the loss, injury, or illness of any pet.
Access to apartments
Guests must ensure pets are safely secured when housekeeping, maintenance, inspections, or emergency access is required.
Assistance animals
Assistance dogs are permitted in accordance with UK law.
Breach of policy
AQORA may withdraw permission for a pet where this policy is repeatedly breached or where a pet causes a nuisance, safety concern, or damage to the property.
